This is the email I want you to send to whoever wants it: Today marks my third whole day in the MTC! Life here is very different than I am used to. On wednesday, I was paired up with the wonderful Elder Fish (my companion). He lives about twenty minutes away from the MTC in Utah, does ballroom dancing, and prays in spanish better than anyone else. Since I'm going to Argentina, I have to learn how to speak spanish in 6 weeks. After only three days here, I have learned more than I did with four years of spanish in public school. In the living halls, I am rooming with three other elders: elder Fish, Hyer, and Taylor. Our room is located in the fluent spanish speaking hallway, so we have been going crazy trying to learn spanish. In our room, we try to speak mostly spanish, but it is hard. Last night Elder Hyer woke everyone up because he was screaming random spanish words in his sleep. So far, the food here is terrible, but they have chocolate milk on tap so I am content. Yesterday, Elder Fish and I had to teach an "investigator" in spanish. It was horrible. Despite the terrifying lessons and nasty food, this has been one of the most spiritual experiences I have ever witnessed. I can testify that the "don de linguas" (gift of tongues) is real. I'm trying not to get too homesick, but I am thinking of you guys all the time!
Thanks,
