¡Hola! This last week was was certainly interesting. It started out so boring, but ended crazy spiritual.
I won't write about the boring parts because they're boring. The other missionaries in my area (senior
missionaries) had two baptisms this week, and we got to go! Actually, we cleaned and filled the font,
which took 7 hours because no water pressure, then both gave talks during the service. During the
baptism I had a pretty incredible experience, and it might sound a bit weird but here it is: Right after the
first baptism, I looked around at everyone, and everyone had perfect hair, skin, eyes, todos perfecto.
At first, I thought, "Oh, Ramone and his family got haircuts--how nice," but then it hit me, everyone was
PERFECT, and with white clothes. It was strange, too, because there were way more people there when
I looked than before, many of them I didn't recognize. At this point, the second baptism prayer was
started, so I had to close my eyes. After the baptism, everyone was back to normal and my testimony
was a hundred times more powerful. I think I got a little glimpse of what we look like after this life.
Gosh it was cool.
Anyway, life here is as great as ever, the reinas fiesta is over, but now they have carnival! I guess we get
more time in the pench while this whole explosion of festivities blows over--yay. During siestas I've started
drawing scripture stories. It is really fun compared to hot sweaty terrible day napping. More next week bye!
